One the last day of the regular season, Canandaigua was a 10-7 winner over visiting Fairport. Penn Yan won a 9-1 victory over Amherst of Section 6. The other winners were Haverling, Thomas and Waterloo.

Aquinas took their second "solo" win of the GRALL Championship with a 13-7 win over McQuaid Jesuit and Livonia took third with a 10-6 win over Haverling. Canandaigua beat Newark 20-3 in Finger Lakes action.

Matt Osgood scored the game winner for Penn Yan in overtime as they defeated Hamburg (Section VI) 11-10. The Thunder beat Newark 11-9 and Pal-Mac was an 11-10 winner over Waterloo.

Rush-Henrietta beat Hilton 14-8. Thomas was a 21-5 winner at Canisius (Section VI) and McQuaid Jesuit won a GRALL victory against Haverling (10-5).

Although a number of games resulted in blowouts today, two were settled in overtime and two others were very close. Churchville-Chili was a 9-8 ot winner against Gates Chili, and Aquinas was a 10-9 ot winner against McQuaid Jesuit in GRALL Play.

There were six games games on Tuesday. Brighton, who did not win a game in 2008, is now 2-0 after their 9-5 win over visiting Eastridge. Marcus Whitman, playing their first Varsity game in school history, was leading 6-2 before the Greece Lightning came back and won 8-6.

There were eleven games on an unusually beautiful March game day. Pittsford won a 6-5 game against Churchville-Chili, and Irondequoit won an 11-6 victory over Penfield, but the rest of the games were lopsided victories and six went into running time.

Schroeder had a big win today as they defeated Fairport 12-4. Penfield remained undefeated with an 11-7 win over Irondequoit. In other match ups it was Brockport over Arc/Oly, Thomas over CC, Gates over Ath/Ody, CA over Midlakes and Geneva over Mynderse. Pittsford had a 12-8 win over R-H, Penn Yan beat Pal-Mac, Victor was (10-7) over Waterloo and McQuaid Jesuit was a winner over BH. HFL beat Eastridge 5-4 and Aquinas beat Haverling 14-6.

First year Irondequoit Head Coach, Craig Whipple, who's team won their first Sectional title since 2001, was names the first AGR Coach of the Year.

Proving how close the Class A teams are this year, Schroeder beat Irondequoit in a close game (6-5). Rush-Henrietta was an 11-7 winner over Churchville-Chili. Livonia beat Aquinas, Brighton beat Gates in OT, Penn Yan beat Amherst and Fairport beat Orchard Park. Other winners included Eastridge, Penfield, Hilton, Pittsford and Newark.

The Rochester Chapter of USLacrosse has announced the 2009 Senior All Star Game selections. This year's contest, featuring some of the best of the graduating seniors will be held on Saturday, July 11th at Victor High School. The boys' game will be at 7:00 PM and will be preceded by the Girls' game at 5:00 PM.
